Whats so good about the samsung galaxy s3?

I do want the phone but before I consider it I want to know what it does, how practical is it? I have a bb so it's a big move lol.
I want to know what you like about it. Can you get skype on it???

Just if you do get one don't get the pebble blue the colour is known to fade.

I have it with 3 on what they call the one plan which is a steal at 28 quid a month.

I develop on android and this phone kicks butt. I had an HTC legend before which convinced me about smartphones, and the S3 had the best screen I have ever seen. Not just that but videos are crystal clear, both those played back and this taken on the camera.

Add to that the ability to increase capacity. I got the 16GB but will buy a 32GB extender as and when I need it. Really. It's the best piece of kit that I own.

2GB data contract, 900min, £35 a month. Sorted.

What does it do that's soooo wow?
I'm trying to convince dh into it lol.
He wants to wait for the price to come down a bit but I can't see that happening for a while yet and I. Want. One. Now!!!

I have an s2 and want the s3. Because it's sooooo pretty.

My parents have just got matching S3s. They will NOT SHUT UP about how amazing they are.

As a long time Apple fan I have to say that the S3 is THE best phone on the market at the moment, bar none.

as for waiting for it to get cheaper, as long as you don't mind the 2 year contract, you can get it for £26 a month at Mobiles.co.uk. That's with 300 mins a month, unlimited texts & 750MB data which is enough for even my mobile addicted teenager.

Can't see it getting much cheaper than thta unless you want a shorter contract.

Go with 3 you get unlimited data, unlimited texts and 500 mins. For 28 quid. Its so worth the money. And no money upfront.

I make a lot if international calls outside europe. I'm currently on payg using O2 international sim. I topup £20 a week. I will look into 3.

Nope that's on mobile data we don't have wifi. I run my Xbox live off my phones internet, stream movies and downloading. I'm 10 days in to my monthly allowance and I've used 13gb of data so far

The amount of data can be high without tethering anything.

I'm at present in hospital, where a few hours of JazzRadio.com (40kbps) hits 100 MB (just a bit under 20 MB/hour), while some audio streams are up to 192 kbps when I use TuneIn app.

I bought one for my teenager for Christmas instead of an iPhone. It hasn't left her hand yet and she hasn't managed to break it so far but give it time.
