YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 11/07/2012 15:40

I think the Maps one that comes with the iphone has been most useful

quoteunquote · 11/07/2012 15:44

Night sky,

love it, just so clever, you point your phone at the sky and it tells you the names of all the star constellations, stars, planets,

really brilliant, endlessly fascinating, my children think I'm really clever as I always know the names of all the stars

RustyBear · 11/07/2012 15:45

UK Train times - I can find my next train home with one touch when I'm out, and it tracks trains so I know when I have to leave for the station to pick someone up.

If I'm allowed two, I also love Old Money which lets you see how much any amount of money from any time would be worth today - very useful when reading history!

SweetGeneVincent · 11/07/2012 15:47

WhatsApp was useful when DS went to the USA for free messenging

Argos, Kindle, facebook, BBC Iplayer, sky sports football scores, maps and lastly talksport.
I really couldn't choose between them all as they have all been really useful at one time or another!

tribpot · 12/07/2012 16:01

For me Evernote, which I adore, YNAB for budgeting (not a standalone app), Kindle, and my beloved White Noise generator.

Chinwag · 12/07/2012 23:14

Budgeting one looks good. I have just discovered Evernote. Like it; and the food one.

OP posts:
tribpot · 12/07/2012 23:26

YNAB is a desktop programme with an iPhone app - worth exploring their website if budgeting is something you're interested in doing.

Evernote is amazing - I'm going to get a Pro account in August (when YNAB shows I will have the spare dosh!)

Cremolafoam · 13/07/2012 00:07

Oh, well, if we're allowed to nominate more than one (or two!)...

WeatherPro is the best weather app I've seen-the pro version has a subscription but it's only about £3 a year, and it has a radar forecast that's been really useful this summer to help predict whether the rain showers are going to hit or miss us.

Keeper is a password saver, though you can use it for other important information too - I have my car key number and credit card numbers on there too. It means you only have to remember one password to open the app and you can look up all the rest.

If you have Sky+ the app lets you set up recordings from your phone.

Chinwag · 13/07/2012 21:06

Yes, nominate LOTS!! he he
