Anyone ordered one of these? Or got one?

Vodafone are having some major problems with them and people have been left hanging.

Actually Vodafone have been pretty shit altogether

Oh don't get me started about Vodafone.

But to be fair have you ordered the blue version? There's a big problem with the blue version which is a manufacturing issue, so outside of Voda's control.

My friend has the white version and as expected it is an incredible phone. That said I opted for the Galaxy Note over this and so far haven't been disappointed with that either.

redrubyshoes · 11/06/2012 15:44

Yep - it deleted all my contacts and the screen regularly goes blank. Sometimes it will not let me end calls and if I have to phone a number with 'Press 1 for this service, Press 2 for this service' it will not let me.

redrubyshoes · 11/06/2012 15:44

That is the phone though and not Vodaphone.

mumofjust1 · 11/06/2012 15:56

Dp got a white a week after it was released. He got it on the 3 network and has had no problem whatsoever - he loves it.

The sales girl did advise us to go with the white one and not the blue as there were manufacturing issues with it.

Niceguy2 - how have you found the note? Is it not strange making a call on such a big phone?

niceguy2 · 11/06/2012 21:03

I'm a big Apple fan. I've had two forays into the Android world previously and this is/was my third. Each time I've returned the phone.

To be honest the Note came close to being returned for two reasons.

  1. The company email thing forces a lock on the phone which is annoying. Not really Samsung's fault to be fair.

  2. The screen is too big to be used with one hand. My thumb doesn't reach all the way across and I hadn't realised how much I used my phone this way until I got it.

After a week of intense playing with it and hacking at it, I love it. The screen is simply amazing and dare I say it much better than the retina display with the iphone.

To be honest now it looks weird looking at any other phone and I cannot imagine using such a small phone. I think ultimately whether the Note is a good phone for you depends on how much you use it really as a phone. For me 9/10 it's a surfing device or texts. It's replaced my need to take the ipad for long journeys. I used to take the iphone for calls/web and the ipad to read/watch movies. Now I just do it from the Note.

It's utterly awesome, I love it and it's cheaper than the SGS3. Couldn't recommend it more. And that's coming from a long time Apple fan. I simply can't see Apple going from a 3.5" screen to a 5.3" screen so that was the reason I took the plunge.

Me and DP have a SGS3 and are truly happy both on 3 network for just 33 a month. AMAZING!!

EvaLongoria · 12/06/2012 03:32

I have an iphone and ipad and DH had a 2nd hand iphone 4 for only couple of months. We sold his iphone as he really didnt like an Apple device and ordered the SGS3 in blue initially last week. We then saw online about the issues with the backcovers so we promptly called Orange back and requested the white one. It was delivered this AM. I charged it for him whilst he was at work and then also had a little play. Yes it has cool features but its just too big. I love my ipad and iphone. Yes in future Apple will enhance the iphone but as a user will be very disappointed if they decide to have a bigger screen area as I think its a perfect size. For anything where I want to watch on a bigger screen I use my ipad but would jjust not go for such a big screen phone. For DH it seems ok as he always complain as he is quite tall with very large hands and said it might just solve his problem.

lovelivelaugh · 12/06/2012 07:41

I had the iPhone 4 and thought it was too small the SGS3 isn't too big the whole point of an Android is that its a phone and tablet in one. Watching stuff on it come with ease.

I ordered online and got a despatch message last week, when I rang vodafonethey said it had been delivered to my local Vodafone store on the 5th. Been down there 3 times and it's not there. Got so pissed off decided to cancel it. Ring voda they say they can't cancel it until I have received the phone. Go into store, mthey say they don't have the phone and I can't re-order until 30 days have passed.

Ring voda again and kick off as I've now spent a fortune on calls and trying to contain my inner tantrum. They said they will cancel it within 24 hours (in 2 hours time the 24 hours will be complete)
The store rang this morning to say that the phone is in stock in the store and I could go down and take fresh contract out with them.

Now, do I go and get a phone, or do I now fuck voda off and go to the car phone warehouse and get one?

I really NEED this phone! I had the last one and it was brilliant.

Just dropped the kids off at school, had my SGS3 in my pocket when I opened the door it fell out (which my SGS2 has done many times) its roughly a half a foot drop. AND THE SCREEN CRACKED!! ive been onthe phone to 3 network for half an hour and they tell me that my insurance doesn't cover a cracked screen and its gonna cost me 150 quid to fix it I've only had it 10 days

lovelivelaugh · 13/06/2012 09:44
