Making an MP3 disc

I have made a playlist from my itunes account and can only put abou 10 songs onto a cd, they are cd-r 700mb discs. Can i ad if so how can i save them as mp3 files onto the disc so i can have a playlist of more than 10 songs in my car? Please help.

You can create an mp3 version of the songs. Right click on the song and choose 'Create mp3 version' from the drop down menu. If you only get 'Create AAC version', you need to go to iTunes-Preferences, look at the section 'when you insert a CD' and click on the import settings button. Change the 'Import using' to MP3 Encoder. When you go back to the songs and right click you should now get the option to create an Mp3 version.

I have to say this seems odd to me, because if you are importing CDs as Mp3s in the first place, you shouldn't need to convert them, but that seems to be the way it works....

i did all that then when it came to burn disk i selected mp3 disk and it said they werent

The mo3 versions normally appear in the main iTunes list below each original - you need to make a new playlist fom those and burn that to disc.
