ds bought something from a dodgy website

worse that can happen? was for a small amout but dp used his debit card unfortunately, we called bank who weren't that helpful but took a note of our concerns

How was the website dodgy?

selling fake jewellery, they admit it themselves but ds didn't spot it!

The website admits that they are selling you fake stuff. I'd be worried if they were trying to pass of fakes as the real thing and charging you shop prices.

Their business is selling dodgy stuff as opposed to card fraud. There are quite a lot of 'legit' sites doing this, IYSWIM.
