is a Google mail account what i need?

I would like to set up an e mail account for our scout group that i do fund raising for so that a few of us can access the account, send messages and the messages appear to come from the scouts fundraising team rather than from me personally.
I've tried to set up a google mail account but it will only let me use a name in the profile and so the messages are still coming from my name rather than the name of the scout group.

Any suggestions please how I can sort this?

Put the name of the scout group in the name field :)

So instead of
Firstname: Jane
Surname: McKenzie

Put

First name: 2nd Bradbury
Surname: Scouts

Does that make sense?
