Samsung Ch@t phone

Just got one of these on tesco mobile for Ds but the wifi connection is very weak although with other things in our house are very strong ie DSs DS - is it just it is cheap / crappy phone or is it that the one we have isn't working properly?

Oh and his friends phones seem to work just fine on youtube on their contract and on wifi - his is too slow on his phone contract and intermittant on wifi.

a) could it be O2 network in your area causing speed prob (what mobile networks are friends using) ?

b) How many of the 3 bars are on for wi-fi ?

I get 2/3 for both routers in my home (even 2 cm from router aerial) and 1/3 for neighbour, but laptops see 5 or 6 networks from neighbouring homes, so erhaps this model (S3350 in my case) isn't as sensitive as some.

Thanks network guy - in the same room next to the router his phone has one bar and doesn't have connectivity if you move out of the room - our laptops etc pick up the hotel over the road aswell as several people in the street.

Showing only 1 bar next to router is worth a complaint, I think - mine was s/h but with a new phone that's really not good enough, esp as wi-fi makes YouTube (and no doubt internet radio) fail.

Thanks networkguy - I just wanted to check it wasn't just a cheap phone that we get what we pay for - its on a cheap contract but none of us have had internet phones before so wasn't sure if I'd look silly taking it back to the shop.
