Where oh where are my Apps?

I upgraded yesterday from a third gen iPhone to the 4S. I thought I did everything right, and indeed I could swear all my Apps were on the phone when I'd finished. Anyway, they aren't now. Where could they beeeee? The only thing i did today was switch on iCloud, whatever that is.

The problem with apple is you have to physically purchase your apps all over again this is something I find stupid but that's the only way

You don't have to purchase them again - you can download them without paying again.

If you used to synch your old iPhone with a computer, you should be able to sync the new one with that computer and synch all the apps

I upgraded to an iphone 4s and I didn't have to physically purchase all my apps again. I really didn't. I didn't have to pay again for any of them.

I upgraded my iPhone and didn't have to buy the apps again. Sync the phone again and make sure you have all the apps ticked.
I think I lost my apps until I synced again.

I've deleted some apps that keep re-appearing every time I synch my iPhone. Definitely re-synch it again OP

You don't have to purchase them again, try re-syncing to see if they re-appear. Mine mysteriously came back randomly a few hours after syncing

Imnotsmall - I've moved/copied my apps from my original 3G phone to an iPad, then to my iPhone 4 and again to my new iPad, only 6 weeks ago and I've only ever paid for them once. I don't know where you got your information from, but it's not true

They came back! Well, I re-synched and they came back for good this time
