Digital compact camera recommendation please

I had a Panasonic Lumix but it broke and need a new one. Tried an Olympus but was too basic and fiddly. Have a Panasonic Lumix FS DC-10 but am not that impressed with it - it overexposes shots - but would like one with the same capabilities. Can anyone recommend one? Thanks! :)

That's the one I use as a compact when I go out and carrying my DSLR would be inconvenient/inappropriate.

I'm pretty demanding when it comes to picture quality and I find it does good photos given the price, good videos and has manual controls if you need further control. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is my finger seems to get in the way of the flash popping up.
