Where shall I get new Ipad from?

I want to get the 32gb black wifi Ipad, it seems to be OOS in all the apple stores, is there any advantage to getting it direct from apple?

Ordering online (from apple) says 1-2 weeks, Ideally I'd like to have it now before next week, but that's just my impatience and if there's a good reason to wait (or if it's impossible to get any quicker) I can.

I got mine direct from an Apple store and it was well worth the visit. They talked me through it and set it all up, ready to go. They run free workshops and give free help. I was very impressed.

Are you looking online to order for pickup at your local Apple store? Because when I was getting DS's iPad2 at Christmas the webpages said they didn't have white ones in stock, so I ordered black - but when I got there I thought I'd ask on the off-chance and they did have one.

When I got my new iPad about a month ago, they weren't allowing you to order online for pickup till 9pm the day before, but while I was having mine set up (I'd gone in after work, so it was quite late in the day) someone came in and just asked if they had one and they did, so it might be worth a try.

Thanks. It's still saying the same re:pick up from apple store. If I knew for sure they had some in stock I could pick up from a few stores. But they're all a bit too far to go on the off chance and there never in stock to reserve that I've seen.

Decided John Lewis might be best place to get from - they have 2 year warranty rather than 1. But they are out of stock (online) and apparently sell stock quick when it does come in. I can order from tesco and get it next day but think I should be a little patient.
