Is it possible to store word documents on my iPad?

I have some Word documents on my laptop, specifically my CV, that I need to attach to emails sent from my iPad.

I've emailed them to myself so I can access them that way and I suppose I could forward that email to employers.

Is there an app that can store them on the iPad so I can attach them to an email in much the same way as I would on the PC?
Thanks

You need pages. When you want to e mail it, you can't do it via e mails (I know, I know). In pages you select the document you want and 'share it' You can then type your normal e mail and the cv will come up as an attachment.
If you have the option of choosing what type of document to send it as I tend to select Word again as I know most people can open it.
It sounds ludicrous but you get used to it remarkably quickly.
