Marks place - how did you create your website? I created one through a website for dummies site and it was ok, the problem was the Site Engine Optimisation. It does take a while for google to even recognise your site even when you type in every word on the web address.
SEO is big money now because of the way google searches for things.
Its alot about keywords, so having words that your target audience are using to search with - say, builders in timbuctoo so you need to have up to about ten keywords repeated all over your site, label pics etc with the keywords, have them repeated on the page, have the pages labelled with the keywords.
Then its all about links, so if you advertise with a company that has a website, if they are a favoured site, google is more likely to recognise you.
That is very very basic and you have to be carefull with the keywords too, if google think you are bein sneaky they will "ignore" you.
I am just about to start anotehr website for DP and do what i can, alternatively you can pay for SEO, but its expensive.
