Trackpad or Magic Mouse for new I Mac

Which is best?

In our family we are split 50/50 which to get so just wanted some opinions?

Can get both for an extra £60 but am trying to de clutter our house so would prefer just one!!

Personally I can't stand trackpad's so i'd vote for a mouse.

Plus if your kids ever want to play a game on your imac then a trackpad is going to be very inconvenient as a lot of games are practically unplayable with a trackpad.

I'm a long time apple user but I hate the magic mouse. I use a non apple standard one on my imac.

I have the mouse...the magic, wireless one that came with the iMac

It drives me mad, eats batteries and suddenly randomly scrolls sideways, and will often only offer me right click options when i left click! despite me trying to change settings.

I'm going to get a corded one

I love my magic mouse. Have one a at work and one at home and it's fab with OS X Lion

we have the magic mouse and it's absolutely fine - easy to use, no problems whatsover

this is a newish one (about 5 months old) which came with the imac and is much better than the apple mouse we had with our old (stolen, sob) imac - we gave up with that one and got a bog-standard non-apple version

A friend of mine has the trackpad and mouse but she's a graphic designer and needs it in a way we don't
