According to the web site, adverts etc you get 300 free texts and Data.

Ok so I transfer DD2's new phone to Dolphin on her online account and am told if I top up £10 by 4/4/13 that will work.

Well I've done this and she certainly hasn't got any free texts yet, credit still going down.

Please explain how it's meant to work and how you keep track.

I'm a simple Racoon, who doesn't put more than £50 on my phone in an entire year.

I'm on Dolphin (actually get 400 free texts now). They normally add the free texts on a particular date every month, your DDs is obviously midnight on 4/4/13.

If she rings 453 from 5th onwards (its free btw) she can keep a check on how many texts shes got left. HTH

Personally I'd switch her to Giffgaff which is on the O2 network. For £10 a month you'd get unlimited texts, unlimited data and 250 mins.
