Hello,
I'm testing a free service called Six3 - it lets you to send short private video messages to iPhones, PCs & Macs. It's a nice way for families to stay in touch, and its a lot more convenient than Skype (where you need to pre-arrange the calls).
If you want to give it a go, check our website for more info Six3 Video Messages. Or download our free iPhone app Apple App Store.
For the record, we're super privacy conscious, and generally reputable (we're ex BBC and Nokia, and Six3 has been covered by The Guardian).
Any thoughts on if you'd use something like this? What you like? What you'd be worried about? All thoughts & ideas would be welcome (ok, not all, but you get the gist).
