word 2010

Hi wondering whether anyone might know this?

When in a word 2010 document does anyone know if you can easily select a chunk of it - say page 1-15 so that you can copy and paste it into another doc. I'm sure I could do this in old versions of word. At the moment I'm just selecting and scrolling through but that seems a longwinded way to have to do it.
TIA

This isn't exactly selecting a chunk using a menu button, but it's how I'd do it...

At the bottom right, there's a plus sign in a circle, a minus sign in a circle, and a scroll bar in between them. This allows you to zoom in and out (so sorry if this is obvious, not sure your level of expertise!) - zoom out so that you have all the pages you want on the screen, then you should be able to select a body of text that runs over several pages, without scrolling. As the font will be way too small to read, you might need to put some blank lines before and after the section you want to select, or start a new page before and after it,so you don't select extra bits.

Hope this helps, ignore if it doesn't!

Hey thanks for answering. I hadn't thought of doing it that way and yes it certainly makes it easier than scrolling through everything full size.
Thanks a lot!!
