Which smartphone to go for?

I am hoping some kind mumsnetters will help!

I currently have an iPhone 3 which I have really liked using. My current contract expires next week so I am trying to decide what to upgrade to next. I had a Samsung Galaxy S for a while, which I quite liked, but I do have a soft spot for Apple (have an iPad, iPod etc). I am looking for a phone to use for emails, browsing, texting and the occasional phone call and yes, I have to admit, looks are important!

I don't like BlackBerry but apart from being slightly wedded to the iPhone, I am fairly open to suggestions (I think!). What do you think?

I have a blackberry and am basically waiting for my DH to get a new iPhone so I can have his current one (iPhone 4). He is very into his apple stuff (everything in the house is like an apple commercial!), and I desperately wanted to like another phone in order to buck the trend, but looking at other products they are all trying to be iPhones, but cheaper/less competent versions. You might as well have the real thing...

Sounds to me like you are looking for reasons to upgrade to a iphone 4S.

It's often difficult to justify why you NEED an iphone. You don't. But you WANT one. JFDI! lol

Blackberry's are pretty crap nowadays and dying a slow painful death. I wouldn't use one if I were given one (and I was! and I didnt use it!).

Android phones are technically very very good. A massive choice of screen sizes, speeds etc. I've had several as I've been desperately trying to fall in love with one.

But to no avail. Eventually I always go back to the iphone. Because it just works. I don't faff around.

My less geeky friends all prefer the iphone too. And my OH who has a top of the range HTC Sensation despite lauding it over me when she first got it......now wants an iphone.
