Ipod touch help needed with syncing libraries. And other stuff too.

I have an iPod Touch which still has OS 3 I think. Got it 2 and a bit years ago. I got it when I had a different laptop and so when I plug it into this one, it says

"The iPod Touch is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?"

I also have an iPod Nano which has stuff on it that is in the iTunes library on the laptop.

I want to keep the music that is on the iPod Touch - is there some way to get the music off it? I also would like to update its OS as tehre are quite often apps that I can't get as I have the wrong OS, but am worried I will lose the music I have got on it. Don't have the old laptop any more. Have got an external hard drive and will check what I've put on there but suspect I got it after this laptop, although will keep my fingers crossed that I was sensible!

Failing that, is there any way to get the music off this iPod touch? Thank you :)

Ah sorry Hun but as far as I'm aware you will lose everything that's on that iPod when you sync as it wipes and replenishes each time synced your best bet is to start again then log into your iTunes account and see what's been backed up there. X oh and update to best of luck
