iPod nano, shuffle and iPad help please re itunes

Currently have all my iTunes music on all three devices, above. How can I fix it so that the iPad has no music, nano has mine and shuffle has DS's? Just a bit stuck! Thanks in advance

I don't know the answer but if any itunes gurus turn up... how do you create and name playlists on a shuffle? Also, how do you take songs off the device?

Think I may have done it. Used this page from apple and used method 3. So far so good!
