I bought a CD on Sat which I have put onto my Itunes and synced to my Ipod. However, this CD is one of those that features people on most of the songs and my Ipod doesnt recognise it as one album, but 9. Ive created a playlist for it, but is there anyway of getting the program to realise that its one album?

Also while we're at it. Whenever I plug my ipod into the laptop I get a message saying I need to scan it (or something like that - I cant quite remember the correct words) to fix it. I have no problems with my Ipod at all and dont see why it may need fixing. If I was to fix it will I lose anything or will it all be ok?

Thanks

Hi. You can amend the artist name by clicking on it. Then you just delete the second person so you are left with the main artist.

Your iPod will want to sync with iTunes to add any new albums / playlists. You don't need to do this :)

Select all the songs in the album from your iTunes library, go to File, Get Info (this is on a Mac, PC might be slightly different), go to Options, and make sure Part of Compilation is marked 'yes'. That should do it.

Thanks Mayas that worked. Im on a PC and it was the same.

I wanted to keep the names of the people who were being featured.
