I'm really not into phones but I need one and I am constantly having to text various people.

My old phone has died and I must get another but which one????

It has to be inexpensive, easy to operate and not too embarrassing to bring out in public!

Any recommendations please? PAYG BTW.

What's your budget?

If it's mainly texts then probably a keyboard is best. Something like a Blackberry?

"inexpensive" blackberry?

I'd look at the bargains in Tesco. Every time I go into mine they have a flipchart with special offers and heaps of texts included. However to get the phone included I think you'd have to go on contract.

I saw they had ordinary unlocked PAYG phones at £9.99 last week though, and their PAYG sim offers are very good value

Oh yes sorry, I forgot to mention my budget. I don't really want to spend more than £100 but would I get anything decent for less?

My son has a Samsung Galaxy Chat - it looks like a Blackberry but the buttons are so tiny!

Ideally I'd spend £50 ish. And, I wouldn't even mind a refurbished e bay phone.
Most importantly, it has to be easy to use - to text I mean.

I got a samsung galaxy fit - it was just over 100€ so will prob be about £100. It is great for texting - has swype which means you just swipe your finger across the letters rather than tapping them in.
The screen for going on the internet isnt amazing but i dont use it for that.

Canella - Hi, thanks for your suggestion. I had a look at the reviews and on ebay - seems I might be able to get one for less than £50!
