DD3s ipod went through the washing machine

OK, in a mad Get Organised In January loads of washign got done in a short space of time, so I didn't check things properly and DD3s ipod shuffle is now very clean . I didn't switch it on, and bunged it in a bowl of dry rice on Tuesday. How long should I leave it before trying to switch it on? DD3 is devastated, although it's not the end of the world as it's a very older style one and can be replaced for not much more than a tenner.

Is two days in the rice enough, do you reckon?

I'd say give it one more day to be safe.....good luck! Was it turned off when it went in? If it was then the fact you had the presence of mind not to turn it on means you could be lucky....maybe!
