iPad and Facebook

Any idea how I stop my Facebook messages being previewed on my iPad when I'm not actually in Facebook? Thanks

Are you using an app for Facebook or just Safari? If it's an app, look in Settings and scroll down to the apps section and touch the Facebook app icon. You should be able to decide which notifications you want on or off.

If you have ios5, you might also want to check the Notificatin Center settings for Facebook.

If you're just using Safari you may need to look at your settings on Facebook itself to stop notifications.

Thanks for response. I'm using both. I have now figured out how to turn notfications completely off but I am wondering if there is the option to have a notification that you have received a message but not a preview of the message itself.

Similar to the way that on the iphone you can chose whether to have a notification saying you have received a message from X but not a preview of what that message actually says IYKWIM
