Ideally John Lewis, but out of stock everywhere for the forseable future.
Apple store but is a long way from here
Pc World/Currys (hate both) but they have £300 and I can't justify the other potions. BUt when I've tried ordering on both sites, they won't accept my creidt cards - 'ive tried 4 cards, all with empty balances and high enough limits to cover cos. Help!

Have you tried phoning your credit card company? There can be blocks on them that limit certain expensive purchases that might still come under the credit limit (or account balance on debit cards).

Hadn't thought of that but did try 4 cards from 2 different banks and I know they are fine

Why don't you just buy it online from Apple? They do free delivery!

Go through a cashback website like Quidco or Topcashback to earn an extra 3% off the price which is £30 saved assuming you just want the basic one.

But if you have a friend who works in education (eg. teacher, assistant) or a uni student/ student with a valid .ac.uk email address then go via the Apple education website and get an even bigger discount. store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/education_routing

As for credit card, it could be PC World/Currys. They're all the same company so it could be that they use the same payment company. Phone your credit card company and check if any attempts have been made to use your card. If not, try on the Apple site. They probably use someone else so you may find it's fine.

Hope that helps

It is £300 less in pc world/ curries although I'd rather avoid them.

I am a teacher buy have a gov.uk email Address not ac.co.uk

Thanks for the help.

Check you are not getting old stock. £300 is a much larger discount than I'd expect.

If you are getting latest model and saving that much then for £300, I'd drive there! lol

It looks ok but only available online! Grrr. I suspect I'll have to wait til John Lewis have them in stock and go there.

Card company said they restricted 2 of my cards and they should work fine now but they dont. Give up!

You could try Amazon. I bought mine on there about a year ago and the prices were cheaper than everywhere else.
