I've had an iphone 3 for ages now and am on a monthly 02 contract as I didn't know what I wanted to do when the 24 month period ended. I pay £13.50 a month and get 100mb of data and loads of free calls/texts-this works for me and isn't expensive. A friend is with Orange and says she can upgrade on her £13 a month tarrif to a free 32 gb Iphone 4 on the same tarrif. This sounds like a brilliant deal-why can't i do this with o2!?

I have looked at my upgrade options and I can get the same phone, but have to pay £21 a month (that's not a problem) but £331 for the phone!

Do you get better deals if you ring them directly? Has anyone got an iphone 4 without going up to a massive tarrif or paying out hundreds for a new phone!?

Hmmm-I've just been looking at the Orange and O2 websites. O2 pride themselves on having a fair policy so don't offer existing customers any better offers than new ones! Yet Virgin (who I'm not with) and Orange (who I'm not with) offer incentives for existing customers!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr
