I've been using Thunderbird for years and never encountered this before. All my addresses seem to have disappeared.

Usually I just click on Address Book and get a window with a side panel giving the option of Collected Addresses and Personal Address Book.

When I got this computer it was to replace an old one which had died badly and got partially wiped so that I couldn't simply make a transfer of my contacts and collected addresses as and when people e-mailed me - took a loooooong time. So all my addresses are in the Collected Addresses file which has disappeared. I cannot get at it at all. I have gone through all the menu items, any options I can find etc etc etc. Collected Addresses does show up as an option in the search functions but it won't actually let me get to it and look through them.

It's quite urgent as I need to forward a funeral invitation (urgently - it's next week) to a lot of people, all of whose addresses are in the Collected Addresses book.....

Help!
Thanks.

Got them. Not entirely sure what caused or cured it but everything gets backed up automatically weekly so I would have been able to dump TB, reinstall it with basic settings and then import everything, but it seemed like so much rafting about. Probably spent at least that much time rafting anyway. Ho ho ho ( as they say at this time of year).

rafting is of course faffing

Rafting sounds much more exciting though :).

Glad you got them back
