Itunes account reverted back to old work email address!!

Hi,

I have itunes on my laptop and I plugged my ipad in to charge one day, and came back to find my ipad frozen and wiped clean ...

I was able to restore most of it from itunes apart from some films I'd bought directly on my ipad and was about to synchronise.

However something really strange has happened - my itunes on my laptop seems to have reverted to an old email address, and it's not recognising the password for some reason. This email address is my old work one so i can't access for confirmation. What do I do? I can't order anything new on itunes and I like to add a film or cartoon for DS during long trips.

I've learnt all the lessons - no work email address, always backup etc but how do i access my Itunes account?

Is your actual iTunes account, your Apple ID, set for new your old work email or your new personal email address?

So is the problem that you've forgotten the password for your iTunes account?

Or is the problem that you log into your iTunes account with your new email address but iTunes is now insisting on using the old one?

Thanks for the reply - it was insisting I use my old email address, and for some reason the same password I have always used even though i am the wife of an IT manager and should bloody know better for both old and new was not being accepted.

I have ended up setting up a new itunes account with a private email address as I'm trying to do some last minute downloads for a long trip. Thankfully it's let me set one up, even though I'm sure I attached the current email address to the old account ...

All this for the bloody Ice Age Christmas Special....
