Iphone help please?

I have an iphone 3gs which I got second hand, which I can use wirelessly, but when I try and access network it says could not activate mobile data network, even though I am vodafone pay as you go, which includes web access.

The phone is a vodafone phone. I checked because I know you can't change networks.

Can anyone help please?

You might need to enter the specific Vodafone settings into the phone, in settings under general, network cellular data network (mines a 4 so might not be exactly the same). You will need details from Vodafone, which you should be able to get from their website, plus a vodafone userid and password.

Thanks Whoknows I'm just trying to find out from their website. Is it to do with tethering?
