Can DD1 and DD2 share books on a Kindle?

DD1 got a Kindle for Christmas last year. She loves it, and has taken it everywhere. DD2 is a less confident reader, but has in the last year started reading every night by herself. We're keen to encourage this, but I can't see anywhere that says if they are able to share/pass on books. Obviously with paperbacks, they pass them between each other.

Is it possible to do this for Kindle books when you've bought them too? It doesn't seem fair to make us/her buy the book all over again, just because DD1 read it first.

Can anyone advise?

We now have me, DH and DS on the same kindle account (or will do at Xmas!).

However if 2 of you read the same book at the same time I think you need to turn the wifi sync off or it'll think it's one reader on 2 devices (like if I read on my phone and kindle) and keep moving you to the furthest page read!

Just bought DS a "refurb" kindle keyboard Wifi like DH and I have. It was £79 and is immaculate (I think it's new not refurb). Did you know the 4th gen kndle is not only smaller and lighter but has no audio book capacity- Ds loves his audiobooks (hes 15)

I heard about the lack of audiobook on the radio the other day. That's not too much of an issue, but I'll have a look at the refurb idea. Thanks.
