Trendy but not smart , need a new mobile for dd1(12)

don't want to get her a smart phone but they all seem to be either smart or v basic. Is there an in-between model?
We are all on O2 & I just want to swap her SIM over so needs to be compatible. Spending around 30-40 but obviously less is better!

I think most of them are smart phones now days. As long as you get her a toush screen it will be "trendy" especially if she hasnt already got a touchscreen. My mum just bought a smart phone and shes 64, i was a little surprised. And if your worried about the internet you can phone the network and they can put filters on it or lock it for you.

my OH got a samsung tocco on o2 for about £40, think it was from phones 4 u. Tesco have some good phones too and i think you can use o2 sims in them. You can put a tesco sim in an o2 phone so i assume it works the other way round too.

I was looking at the Tocco.

She currently has a hand-me-down one that she says is v uncool!

Anyone know about any of these?

the tocco on your list is the one my OH has (without the pretty stripes tho!) He mainly wanted it for photos and music and it does both very well. The only problem is if you don't have a memory card you can't store much on it in the way of music and photos as the phone memory doesn't seem very big. OH has a memory card in his tho and can get tons of stuff on it. Very easy to use and it looks good.
