Can you get a laptop/netbook for £150?

don't want to spend much as its for a 9 year old, just need to get on internet and maybe play games?

£150 might be a stretch. This Samsung is just over £175 delivered.

You can probably get a well known brand of laptop for less than that if you get a second hand one from eBay. Or look at slightly less well known brands like emachines and Asus for lower priced netbooks.

If going the Ebay route, probably best to see the seller is (a) registered as a business (should show contact details, somewhere down in the listing info about the system being sold), and (b) accepts returns/gives a warranty of at least 3 months, if not 6.

Also worth checking some local independent computer shops, but possibly not somewhere like CEX or shops which make a point of buying/ selling electronics/ phones (not sure if 'Cash Converters' does this, never been inside, but CEX pays low and charges sometimes higher than on Ebay, and not sure about returns policy, so use with caution, if you do go there!).

Don't know if Game or similar buy/sell laptops (I know they sell off used games for X-Box, DS, and PS2/ PS3 etc)
