cassette to mp3 converter

Hi, thanks for clicking....

We really want to get my inlaws a tape to mp3 converter so they can put their tapes onto PC, CD etc.

Have you ever done this? Is it fairly straight forward. Inlaws are intelligent folks but less experienced on I.T.

Any recomendations? Thanks

We have one at work in our language lab - I find it straightforward but it would be a bit fiddly to do log tapes I would think ie whole albums because in theory you should record each song as a separate mp3. Ours doesn't do that automatically but I only record bits at a time so starting and stopping the tape isn't an issue.

Sorry, that would be "long" tapes!!

cool - so maybe we should get one that does the gaps? I don;t think it will be classical (ie that has built in gaps) but 3 minute songs type things....
