Strangeness Logging into my Hotmail Account

I just tried to log in and it said incorrect details.
After reinserting the password a number of times I noticed that there were only 4 of the black dots showing just before it said Incorrect again
(dont know if thats relevant).

So, I have gone into my profile and selected reset and entered my secret question and told that it was incorrect too.

Went back and inserted my password and this time I got in.

All very strange. Now I am wondering if I have inadvertantly passed on my details and expecting something horrible to happen.
Does anyone have any advice or views on this please.

Broken key on your keyboard? Try typing it somewhere where you can 'see'* it (rather than the dots) and make sure you haven't missed something.

*just don't send it anywhere when you type it!
