Help- have lost apps after upgrading iPhone to ios5.

Plugged into iTunes and did the upgrade. Now have lost apps that I paid quite a lot of money for. I hadn't backed them up on my mac. Can I get them back?

I'd have thought that if you try to download them again the iTunes store will recognise that you've already bought them - when our mac was stolen I thought I was going to have to buy iWork again, but the mac app store knew I'd paid for them once and I just installed with no problem - try that first and if it doesn't work, get in touch with apple support

(in a similar boat .. Have just upgraded on iPad and it's wiped my calendar completely clean ....sob)

Mine all disappeared then over a few hours they all popped back. it was very weird but they all came back in the end.

Have any re-appeared since you updated?

Yep. When u reinstall them, it will prompt and tell you that you've already paid
