My iPad is not 3G. I want to use it on the train. So dh rang O2 (his name on account as he bought the iphone as a present for me) and they said I could tether my iPhone to my iPad and then use Internet on the iPad. They say this will cost me something like £1.30 per month.
So, whilst on the phone to O2 chap about lack of 3G (all sorted) I tried to tehter them but iPad couldn't see my iPhone as a wifi network.
SO then I tried using Bluetooth and it worked! I could look at the Internet on my iPad by being hooked up to iPhone via bluetooth.
O2 chap agreed I didn't need the charge for tethering as it could be done via Bluetooth for free between apple devices
So is the the case? You can just hook up to the Internet on iPhone by pairing iPad and iPhone through Bluetooth?
Sorry for the long and exceedingly dull post.
