Flippin' new laptop Windows 7 isn't compatible with printer

Pretty much in the title.

We bought a new laptop which runs on Windows 7 and I tried to load the printer drivers but it wouldn't work.

When I checked compatability on the Dell site (the printer is dell, laptop is a Toshiba) it says that the printer wont run with Windows 7. Is there any way around this?

What is the exact model/name of the printer? It's possible that there's a driver out there somewhere that will work for it.

However welcome to the world of Windows 7...

I've seen suggestions online that the drivers for Vista should work...
