Ipad or Ipad 2

Looking to get one or other of the above.

Ipad refurbished (from apple store) is a lot cheaper. Or Ipad 2?

What would you do? What are advantages/disadvantages and is Ipad2 worth the extra?

I think it depends on your budget. If you can afford it, go for the ipad2 as it is the better tablet and will last you longer since Apple are buggers for making hardware obsolete in a few of years.

That said, I have an ipad1 and I haven't really seen the NEED to upgrade. Don't get me wrong, there are better things but just not enough for me to pay the difference.

The main features for me are:

• Faster CPU (The ipad1 can be sometimes a little sluggish)
• Slimmer & lighter (This is actually quite important as holding the thing for a long time can get heavy)
• SmartCover. This is pretty clever but obviously is yet more money.

Obviously there are cameras on the ipad2 as well but I really dont think these are important on a tablet.

It's for uni (and hopefully a masters after degree) so I'd be happy to invest in an ipad2 but the 1 is just so much cheaper.

Since I have an iphone I don't think I need 3G do I?

Or - to totally throw a spanner in the works - should I go for an android (sp?) tablet?
