Chrome not remembering anything?

It used to remember stuff like which town I live in for the local weather and news on the bbc.

I could stay logged in on mumsnet for months on end and amazon and ebay, but now every time I close the browser I get logged out it's so annoying.

I've looked 'under the bonnet' and 'allow local data to be set' is selected. I'm at a loss. Can anyone please help me?

Nope, I keep returning to firefox because chrome refuses to restore properly and just sticks up that stupid sad face icon.

I don't use chrome much, but in the same place it says "allow local data to be set", is the box for "Clear cookies and other site and plug-in data when I close my browser" checked? You'll want it unchecked.

It's already unchecked.

Boo hoo! will have to get firefox , but I like chrome now I've got used to it.
