Can I save his iPod shuffle??

Dimwit DP left his shuffle, earphones and gym key in his pockets when I washed his gym gear.

I've put it straight into a tub of rice and plan on leaving it there for about a week.

They will live, won't they??

They may well be fine provided you've not switched them on, I believe.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, I'm afraid. There's more chance if it wasn't on at the time, but there's no guarantees.

It was switched off. I haven't touched anything. I just fished them out the machine and straight into some dry rice.
