There's not actually a discount on the laptop, you just get all the accessories for free (which you might not want anyway).

If you want to spend £460 on a laptop you could do better.

am looking for a laptop for dd who's starting uni in sept

she's been using family macbook but wants windows one

budget ,cheap as poss but needs to be reliable

I found this very useful - put in your requirements and see what you can get.

The Groupon one had an Intel Core Duo processor, 250 GB hard drive and 2 GB of RAM, you should be able to get one as good as that for under £350.

Agree with Trillian. That price is pretty shocking to be honest.

If £450 is about the price range, I'd be aiming for an I5 processor and 4GB RAM.

need to liase with dd I suppose , pretty standard I guess she's studying french and economics so no greta need for anything special
£350 sounds much better to me
My db was saying she should get a mac but they're so £££.
