IPod Shuffle - how do I set it up?

I've followed instructions (install ITunes and plug in) but nothing is happening? Can anyone help?

Has it showed up on itunes? It should say on the right hand side 'EmmaTheFox's ipod' or whatever you named it.

I haven't named it anything yet? Nothing showing on right hand side...

Unplug it and plug it back in. Is it new? Itunes should recognise it straight away and guide you through the set-up.

It is new - it said in the instructions that would happen but I plug it in and nothing happens

You've got me stumped then. Do you have more than one usb port? Try the other one or test it on a friends PC. If there is still nothing it might be faulty

Is anything showing up in the bottom corner of your PC, you know where it says 'new hardware detected' or whatever?
