...is there any way of rescuing the photos does anyone know? It won't switch on at all :( a years worth of pictures, I'm gutted.

Does the phone have an extra memory card in it? - if so you might be able to remove the card and put it into another phone or a card reader and get the photos off. When I dropped one of my phones into the toilet, it wouldn't work again, but the card was fine.

Take apart the phone as much as you can a put in a bowl of rice. Leave for 24 hours at least. Should draw all the moisture out of the phone and you should be able to at least turn it on. Hope it works for you.
