Email too big to send, how do I delete it please?

I've attached too many pix to an email so it won't send. However, I can't delete it either, and it's slowing down email in and outbound. Can anyone advise what to do please? I'm on Windows Vista and using Microsoft Outlook. TIA.

There are a few options but by far the most straight forward thing to try first (may or may not work!) is set Outlook to work offline, close down Outlook, open it up again and then try deleting the message (when it's not mid-send!)

Glad to have helped (and also glad that it was the easiest of several potential solutions that worked in this case - that's not been happening to me very much these last few days - bloody 'puters!)
