<sob> I was so excited about getting a blackberry too... please help me!

DB has very kindly given me his blackberry, since the movers lost my rio phone and I am trying to set it up. I cant get the WiFi to work, it has told me to input a pin into my router but I dont know how to do that, I cant access email or do anything. please tell me (in plebbish) how to set it up!

You need to get a password for it to access your wi-fi. This may have been set-up for you when you got the wireless router. BT Homehubs used to have the password printed on a sticker on the router. Check your documentation.

If not, you need to go into the wireless router's set-up to find out what it is. The page is usually on something like 192.168.0.1. But this link shows how to find it:

Ive got my key for the router, but the blackberry has given me a key to put into my router so they synchonise

Not terribly up on Blackberrys but I think they offer some synchronisation of contacts, diary, etc with your PC. This is maybe what it refers to?

Have a look to see if you can turn off wireless synchronisation anywhere. Best I can do, sorry.
