Iphone doesn't receive all my email....

We were on hols last week, and I checked my emails regularly on my iphone because I am involved in a work project I need to keep on top of.

A couple of times I noticed it say "Downloading 10 messages" and I only got, say 7 of them. When I got home to my Mac, my inbox had in it quite a few emails that had not reached my iphone for some reason.

Anyone know why this is? They hadn't gone to junk, they were to my normal email address and appeared in my normal inbox at home, just not on my iphone. AND one or two of them were actually quite important and I could have done with seeing them whilst I was away!

Are you sure they were not there but 'organized by thread'. I turned this off as it makes emails where the person just replies to the original all cluster together and are not visible. I thought I had lost some too.

Check in settings/mail,contacts../Organize by thread
and set it to off.

Oh golly, you may be right - I think that might be answer!
