Unable to delete apps on iPhone 4 - help please!

when I hold an app icon down, all the icons shake but a cross used to appear in the top lefthand corner of each icon which you could press to delete it. The cross has gone - how do I restore it doni can delete stuff without having to use my computer?

Try rebooting your phone first. I've had this one. A reboot cured it.

Thanks niceguy - I've tried that (twice) and it's not helped. I've googled and can't find anything helpful.

I've checked the restrictions and they're ok. I've rebooted the phone and restored it.

Is it all apps or certain ones? Have you jailbroken the phone?

Nah, you'd know if you did it. I've not a clue then!

All I can suggest is then to book an appointment with the Apple Geniuses. You can do this online from the Apple website and take it in for them to have a look at.
