I've bought DD a camera, for a 2 week camping trip she's going on, abroad, in the summer. My plan was, to pack her off, with plenty of ordinary batteries, so she doesn't run out of power.

However, that has slightly backfired on me, because the one I bought has a mobile phone type battery and isn't compatable with ordinary ones.

I can buy spare batteries easily enough. They are the same price as ordinary ones on E-bay, but will they hold their charge, if I charge them up before she goes, iyswim?

Do you get me? What d'ya think? They're only £3 inc p&p, so happy to buy 3 or 4.

If they are lithium ion batteries then you should be fine. That said even if they're NiMH for 2 weeks, you should be fine.

Brilliant, thanks. They are lithium ion, so I'll get a couple.

I'm sure there'll be an internet cafe type place where she's going, but it's likely to be over run with people, as she's going to the world scout jamboree!
