advice needed re spec for PC (gamingand general usage)

Hi what would be the optimal spec 9including graphic card) for a pc to be used for gaming (e.g.fallout 3) and general usage. Thanks in advance

Why don't you try checking the specs of Fallout3 and as that is such an old game, look for something that exceeds it.

Fact of the matter is they are all using the same off the shelf parts no matter what gray box you buy, just avoid Alienware they are over priced and shortchange people giving them graphics cards lower then the one they ordered because they think you will not notice (I know two people they have done that with).

Thanks Ryoko have checked specs, however the specs appear to only support the low end playability of the game. I am aware the shelf parts would be the same, however there is a confusing array of differnt makes and nowhere I've looked seems to be able to give a like for like breakdown of which part would be the best one for our requirements.
