I have never tried this, but I have read on here hat you need to put it in a bowl of (uncooked!) rice, totally bury it in rice, and leave it for a day or two. This seems to work.

yes I did that to my sony - I left it for 2.5 days. worked better after. :) (obv separate all 3 sections as well.

I washed Ds phone once, took it apart (removed back and battery) and put it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days and it was fine!
Must say though it was an old basic type phone, not sure how a touch sscreen etc will fare!

Someone suggested Pearl Barley (or rice) - remove back and battery and leave for a couple of days.

I agree with trying the rice trick.

But do you know if the phone was on or off before it went in the wash?

I have to say though that you should prepare for the worst and hope you are insured.

Thank you for all the tips - I will try the rice and report back in a few days.

We dropped an iPod touch in a cup of tea recently and couldn't revive it.

I found a company in Hammersmith who repaired it for £70 and it's now fine . I'll dig out their details you can call them for advice first and they were really helpful

I can't do a link but google iPod repairs Hammersmith, it's on northend road
