I've actually uninstalled it as I couldn't go on any websites, even to ask for advice or research the problem - it kept saying it had blocked a dangerous malware or trojan attempt every time I tried to use normal sites such as MN, twitter, etc.
I can't figure out what's going on though can see from a vague google that it's happened to other people in the past.
It's the Avast free version - I installed it the other day and it's been fine. Also running comodo firewall.
Any thoughts much appreciated, hopefully will still be able to look at replies!
